About Beds for Kids

The mission of Beds for Kids is to provide beds and essential furniture to children and their families in need. They come alongside families rising out of poverty towards self-sufficiency and supply furniture resources. Beds for Kids believes every child should have a bed of their own, and they strive to serve each family with dignity. Beds for Kids officially became a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2011, initially operating out of a 30’x10’ storage container. Fast forward to today, Beds for Kids has served 31,195 individuals since inception and delivered furniture to 1,326 Charlotte families in 2025. They utilize two warehouse facilities totaling 55,000 sq feet to obtain the furniture required to fully furnish over a thousand homes a year. They partner with 65+ different organizations in Charlotte who work with families and support their journey to housing stability.
